The Federation of State Humanities Councils is the only organization dedicated to serving and strengthening the nation’s humanities councils to support our recovery, our communities, and our nation. Your support provides the necessary tools, advocacy, training, and convenings to the nationwide network of state and jurisdictional humanities councils.

How We Are Funded
The Federation is supported by our dedicated member humanities councils as well as through the generosity of individual donors, sponsors, foundations, and other supporters of the humanities.
Together, we can be champions for the humanities and their vital role in sustaining, inspiring, healing, and understanding the people, spaces, histories, and future of our communities and country as a whole.
The Federation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and all donations are 100% tax deductible as allowed by law.
