Humanities on the Hill (HoH) is a three-day event taking place in Washington, DC during March 4-6, 2025 that brings together humanities councils from all over the greater United States. Participants will gather to share best practices as they prepare to meet with their legislators to advocate for federal funding for the National Endowment for the Humanities, which administers funding to the humanities councils.

The event will begin on Tuesday afternoon with a Members’ Legislative Briefing, followed by a Social Hour in the evening. On Wednesday, you will be conducting your visits on the Hill, so please make sure to schedule your appointments in advance. We will close Wednesday with a Congressional Reception in the evening. We will conclude HoH with breakfast on Thursday morning. The event hotel is The Royal Sonesta DC Dupont Circle, and we have secured nightly rate of $219 before taxes and fees. To book your hotel reservation under the negotiated rate, please use our HoH-specific link.
