A widely respected advocate and lawyer with a wealth of experience in public policy and education, Kevin Lindsey, J.D., was hired as the CEO of the Minnesota Humanities Center (MHC) in June 2019. Prior to joining MHC, Lindsey served in the Cabinet of the Minnesota Governor as the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. Lindsey was recently honored with the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts Civitas Award. Prior to joining MHC, Lindsey’s work was recognized with the Iowa Law Review Distinguished Alumni Award and AARP Minnesota/Pollen Award. A proven change-maker, Lindsey’s career has been focused on leverage the power of personal stories, finding solutions to complex problems, and building a stronger democracy. Kevin Lindsey was elected to the Federation Board in 2021.
